Common questions about Strata Reports

No, I don’t physically visit the property. The findings and reports are based on historical records and information the managing agent’s office provides.

Your Strata Report will reveal the financial position of the Body Corporate and any upcoming strata expenditure. You’ll also learn about defects, insurance, rules (e.g. pets) and disputes.

Your Strata Report will also include a report on the Strata Scheme, Company Title, Community Association, Neighbourhood Association or Deposited Plan, depending on the property.

The buyer usually pays for the Strata Report in New South Wales.

Sometimes, the vendor (seller) will arrange for a Strata Report to be prepared and make it available to potential buyers. These reports may favour the vendor.

Upon settlement, the successful buyer will then reimburse the vendor.
